In this video we’ll configure in-app so that you can start building experiences in no time. You can complete these steps while you wait for your script installation, or after it’s completed.

Objectives include installing the In-App Chrome browser extension, adding the In-App tab to your SuccessBLOC, and updating user permissions.

The Chrome browser extension allows each team member with build permissions to use the In-App builder on your website or application. To install the Chrome browser extension, search Totango In-App Builder in the Chrome Web Store, click Add to Chrome, then Add Extension. You’ll need this extension active in order to build experiences.

To launch the In-App builder from within Totango, you’ll need to enable the In-App tab for any one of your SuccessBLOCs. Simply click the pencil icon, select Visible Tabs, then add a check to InApp, and Save. With the In-App tab enabled, you can see descriptions and examples for each experience by hovering over them. Click Create on the experience you want to design, or click the Green Plus sign.  Enter the website URL you’d like to create an experience for, then click ‘Get Started.’ The website loads automatically with the In-App Builder on the right-side of the screen.

We’ll get into designing and deploying experiences in another video. For now, click the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner, then click ‘View Analytics.’ to open the in-app builder settings. From here, we’ll click In-App team to determine which of your team members can view, edit, and publish experiences. Under User Management, click Permissions.Under the Application Permissions tab, locate In-App Experiences then set permissions for viewing, editing, and publishing. You can optionally create in-app specific roles if needed. As a reminder, users with In-App edit permissions must also be an owner or collaborator of the related SuccessBLOC. In the next video, we’ll get into designing and deploying your first experience!
