Do you have a best practice for how to use Totango during customer meetings? If not, check out these tips for updating account info on the fly. When you meet with a customer, we suggest having the customer’s account profile on your screen. That way you can see their history and key data points at a glance.

More importantly, if you learn that a key data point has changed, you can make the update right then and there! This will save you time and help ensure that you don’t forget to make the update later.

Some examples of key data points that might be listed here include:

  • Risk Status
  • Risk Reason
  • Customer Sentiment
  • Or Contract renewal date

If there’s a key data point that you update frequently that is *not* visible in this pane, reach out to your manager or Totango Admin as they have the ability to customize this section to ensure the most relevant data is always front and center.

Otherwise, you can always go to the All tab to see even more data points. Scroll through or use the search bar here. Remember, you can hover over any of these attributes and click to view historical data, too. If the attribute you’re looking for isn’t here, it’s likely because the attribute doesn’t have a value yet. In that case, click Add Attribute, find the attribute you’re looking for, set the value, and click Save.

Now you can quickly reference that data point the next time you need to make an update.
