Totango "Contributors" can access limited platform functionality for purposes of basic account and task management.

As a Contributor, I log into Totango just like other users. I can manage my profile, including notification preferences. If I’m assigned to multiple teams, I can switch between them and view the account scope allowed by each team. I can view account details, and I can even have an account assignment role. I cannot, however, view or manage contact or details.

Most attributes on the account profile are read only for me, with some exceptions, such as lifecycle statuses. On account profile views, I may also have the ability to add touchpoints, tasks, assets, and generate automated presentations. But, my primary navigation is for My Portfolio.

I don’t have access to the My Portfolio widget, but I can use all other functions, including the ability to filter the Notifications and Agenda tabs by my own activity. I can also pin accounts to my attention, and save private segments. From the Quick Actions bar, I have the ability to create touchpoints, tasks, and segments, and I also have actions available from the Ellipses of the Notifications tab and Segment Work and Timeline views. Within segment views, I can also edit attributes and use bulk functions if my admin has enabled those permissions. I don’t, however, have access to segment triggers. And, Contributors don’t have access to SuccessBLOCs or Executive Console.

A typical work stream for a Contributor might look like this:

Annette is a renewal manager. She gets an email whenever someone assigns her a task in Totango. She can click the email, log into Totango and jump right to her tasks to get to work. When finished with the task, she adds a post-completion touchpoint and marks the task complete. From there, all other team members see the notification from Anette’s activity within their own My Portfolio views.
