In this video we’ll orient you to best practices for working with this SuccessBLOC.

Within your SuccessBLOC, use the Options menu to download the list of attributes that are important to powering this BLOC. You can also create a copy of this BLOC, perhaps if you want to do some testing while you work. You may also want to copy this BLOC to another team after it’s in motion. You can always delete a BLOC, but this is a permanent action, so use caution on BLOCs that are in use.

Use the pencil icon to rename this BLOC, which is especially useful if you want to install the same BLOC from the Marketplace again. Whatever flow you choose will keep all items within this BLOC categorized appropriately. You can also change visibility of the tabs in this BLOC, such as the Setup tab once you’re ready to share with others.

Speaking of sharing, you can use the Invite button to invite individual team members as collaborators, which allows them to work on this BLOC with you. Collaborators can edit campaign settings, SuccessPlays, scorecards, and other areas that non-collaborators can’t.

Publishing the BLOC, on the other hand, shares the bloc with your whole team as non-collaborators. Team members can see the BLOC in their menu and interact with the available tabs. For example, my team member Lindsay can access the Scorecard to see the number of accounts that are at risk. She can even filter the KPIs to see the particular accounts assigned to her. As a reminder, Account Assignment is denoted on the account profile view. Although you can manually update assignments from this widget, common practice is to set account assignments through a data integration or by using notifications via segment triggers or SuccessPlays. Lindsay can also click into any of the BLOC’s segments, such as the Accounts At Risk, Accounts At Risk for Product Adoption, and Next Quarter Renewals At Risk.

Publishing the BLOC to your team provides quick insight into how your customer data looks, even without doing anything else. However, publishing the SuccessBLOC does not activate campaigns and SuccessPlays–and these are the automation tools that bring your initiative to life! We refer to this process as “activating” your SuccessBLOC, which you can do in the next step.
